WW84 Movie Review! (SPOILER-FREE)

Wonder Woman 1984 the sequel to Wonder Woman directed once again by Patty Jenkins is finally out after an initial delay due to COVID. And first off, I wanna say how excited I was to finally go back to a theater and just be able to sit down and enjoy a movie. Anyways, Wonder Woman 1984 stars Gal Gadot, Kristen Wig, Chris Pine, and Pedro Pascal. Now once again Diana Prince and Steve Trevor must go on a mission to stop Maxwell Lord and Barbra Minerva aka Cheetah in order to stop them from destroying the world.
Now although Wonder Woman 1984 did have quite a lot of enjoyable moments. I found at sometimes the pacing was a bit slower than it should have been and just dragged on for a bit to long when in reality there was no need. Some scenes altogether I feel were a little unnecessary, take the opening scene for example. The film opens with a flashback scene that takes up around 15 minutes of screen time, all for a short line that is used once at the end. Along with the film having a long runtime, the ending battles that take place are a quite rushed with a pay off that isn't that huge. The fight with Diana and Cheetah feels like it is only happening as way to have a real "battle" between the good guys and the bad guys. Not only does the fight not have a great pay off the battle between Lord and Diana is also a bit choppy with some viewers maybe having a hard time understanding what is going on. Although the intentions were good the execution could have been slightly better. Even though I seem to be bashing the film, it does have many enjoyable scenes and is probably Gal Gadot's best performance as Wonder Woman yet. This is definitely a film that everyone should see and will definitely put a smile on your face!
